IPHONE CANNOT BE RESTORED - FORGOTTEN PASSCODE

I have forgotten my passcode and followed the steps in this article:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251285022

then I try to restore it gives me an error and says "The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored because the firmware file was corrupt"

I went to this discussion page:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251285022

THIS PAGE DOES NOT LIST THIS ERROR - "The iPhone “iPhone” could not be restored because the firmware file was corrupt"

how do I fix my iPhone and how do I restore it without my passcode???

Hi omgaby,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you are experiencing an error when trying to restore your iPhone. We know how important it is to get this resolved, and we're happy to help.

We recommend checking out the steps in the link below that can resolve restore errors.

If you see an error when your update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

You'll also want to confirm that there's 15GB of available space on the computer you're using. See how to manage storage on a Mac here: Optimize storage space on your Mac

We also recommend testing in another user to see if the same error persists. You can find the steps for that on a Mac here: Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac

If you're experiencing this same error after those steps, and in a different user account, reach out for further support here: Contact Apple Support

Thanks.
