How do I get rid of previous owners information?

My spouse recently purchased me this 7plus from a mutual acquaintance and I can’t get my phone time or anything else to work until I get the previous owners information removed!!! Help! All I have is his password!

You’ll need to contact the previous owner and have them follow the steps “Unlock on the web“ at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201441

You need to his Apple ID and password to remove Activation Lock.

If they didn’t they can still do it, so contact this mutual acquaintance. If they can’t or won’t do this you will never be able to use the phone; you have been scammed.
