How to stop call log from syncing

Hello.

I would like to stop call history from been syncing between my devices. I have two iphones one is for work and the other one for personal use. I am getting confused when I see same log history in both devices. Both iphones using same Apple ID. The only way I discovered is to disable icloud in the iCloud settings menu on one of the iphones. I do not want to disable icloud and loses iCloud feature. Could any one please suggest a fix for this issue?

thanks

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 14

Hey there uae211,

We'd like to help answer your question about call history and how it works between devices.

As you already mentioned needing iCloud but also don't want to share the call history between your work and personal phones, there wouldn't be a way to do this while sharing the same Apple ID for iCloud. This doesn't mean what you're looking to do isn't possible, and we'll explain further.

We recommend using another separate Apple ID for your work phone. That way, both your personal and work phones have their data syncing separately, along with keeping each of their information separated. While you wouldn't be able to sync data between two different Apple IDs for iCloud, you would be able to share purchases from both Apple IDs using Family Sharing.

As you're only using your personal Apple ID currently, any files from iCloud you'd like to save to your work Apple ID would need to be sent to yourself. You can use your email as a way to do this. Alternatively, you can also use a computer to save files from iCloud: Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud

Afterwards, you'd log out of your personal Apple ID, then log in with your work Apple ID on the same computer. You can then copy the files from your computer to your work Apple ID for iCloud. These steps can also be found in the same second link we provided.

We hope these resources help. Take care!
