rte player app hanging

I subscribed to eir tv, which included the RTE app. The App also appears on my Apple tv4k.

screen.It has suddenly stopped working. I cannot play anything on this app now as it just 'hangs'. I use ethernet. I've unplugged, rebooted, checked cables and checked for updates. ALL my other Apps are working good.Its just the RTE Player and with no warning??

Any Suggestions?

Apps crashing at commercial break on Apple tv? This has recently started happening to me on every app -- Youtube, Prime Video, etc. and it just started happening a few days ago. It happens on old BBC and US network tv episodes at the point where that show would have taken a commercial break, not necessarily when the app is programmed to break. On Youtube the screen goes black and stays that way. On other apps I get the buffering symbol on a black screen, then an error message. In the old SEDAT days I would have said that the program is sending a signal that's being mis-read by the app, but I'm sure those old silent cues wouldn't be recognized by today's apps. If I roll it back and play that section again, it does not crash.

Apple TV app crashing on FireStick I've had the ATV app on my firestick since launch and never had any issue watching a movie I purchased via the Library section. However, for the last several weeks whenever I try to watch any movie I've purchased. The movie will play for around 30-60 seconds and then all of a sudden artifacts appear on the screen and then a few seconds later the app crashes and forces the FireStick to reboot. I've reverted the FireStick TV settings to default which had no impact and I received the same result. I also tried purging the app data and cache, but get again get the same problem. Finally, I removed the app, reinstalled and yet, again the ATV app crashes and reboots. Both the app and FireStick are up-to-date so does anyone have any idea what could cause this. As the app was working perfectly fine until about July/early August.

Apple TV app crashing on Vizio TV I have a Vizio Smart TV, and recently the Apple TV app has been crashing every time I try to watch something. I can’t even get through a 25 min episode without it shutting down and going back to the TV Home Screen. Then, when I go back into the app and try to resume the episode, it won’t load at all. Why am I paying for this????
