apple watch brightness

My apple watch is very dull, it can not be read when outdoors in the sunlight. I have turned up the brightness all the way. It is one of the earlier versions.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 very dim in dark areas I purchased the Apple Watch Ultra to the first week of October just downloaded the new 17 point one update hoping that it would solve the dimming issue when you head into a dark area so dim it’s so hard to read text messages or even the time. Hope Apple is aware of this and is coming out with an update that will solve the problem, or give us the option to make the Watch brighter at night

This is the ambient light sensor kicking in,this adjusts your screen brightness to match the surrounding area,there is no setting or configuration for this,just a workaround.
