Disappearing text and text formatting issues?

Using my iPhone 11, I have recently started having issues where if I type an email, a longer checklist, or even a FB post I will lose huge portions of what I just typed. It will disappear before my eyes and there is no way I have found to get it back. Sometimes I even send the email because everything looks fine but then initially, but the I look back in my sent messages and realize that I lost half of what I was trying to say. Then at other times I have formatting issues where the cursor will prematurely moves down to next line and will not let me move back up. This creates this odd narrow paragraphs that look out of place.

Anyone know how to fix this? I do the updates as they come out and I am currently running iOS 14.4.2 and I do not see anything new available.

Hi OffBalanceFlamingo,

It looks like you're having issues with text disappearing while using apps. If that's correct, let's try the following.

Restart your iPhone

When this is happening do you see a message that says Undo typing?

If so, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Shake to Undo and see if that helps.

This will help narrow the issue down.

I just checked this setting and it was on! I have turned it off, however it has been a frequent but not constant issue. So in this case I will need to give it some time to see if it actually solved the problem. Thank you for the help!
