Apple id

My original Apple ID has been deleted by Apple at my request but that ID is still on my iPad. How do I change to the new Apple ID? Can’t access old one. My iPad keeps saying to update but only shows old ID

iPad, iPadOS 14

"Make sure that you sign out of all your devices to avoid issues with apps that use your Apple ID account or iCloud. After your account is deleted, you can't sign out of iCloud or turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock on your devices. If you forget to sign out, you might not be able to use your device when your account is deleted."

See if you can use this service: Apple can completely erase a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Do this online at: Activation Lock support request - https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support

Let us know if it works for you because there is some debate as to whether or not it will work in this scenario.
