Did above steps and it continues to tell me that It is disabled and to connect to iTunes. I don’t know how to do that

I used the normal password that I would to get into my iPad. It said that it was the wrong password so I retyped it a couple of times knowing that’s what I was using. After a while I tried other passwords that it could’ve been and this morning and completely disabled me. I try to connect my iPad with my computer holding the Top button after I turned it off and it does not say that I am in recovery mode, but continues to say that my iPad is disabled and to connect to iTunes. I am in my very late 60s and I don’t know how to do that. I am at a loss as to how to reset or recover my one iPad.

iPad, iPadOS 14

Try plugging it into your computer and opening iTunes/Finder. Then do a forced restart:

If the iPad has a home button: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode message pops up on the computer screen.

If the iPad does not have a home button: Press and very quickly release the volume up button. > Immediately press and very quickly release by the volume down button > Immediately press and hold down the side button and keep holding the side button until the recovery mode message pops up on the computer screen.

Once you see the recovery mode update/restore message appear on the computer you will select the Restore option
