macOS on new iPad with M1 chip

Hi!

After presentation on 20 April, I have a question according to MacBook and iPad Pro.

Can I install macOS system on new iPad m1?

I really wanted to buy MacBook Air for my work, but today I understand that, for same price I can get same system, with same chip, but with improved screen, with sensor, with better front camera (12 mp vs 0.3), with 2 additional main cameras, and lighter 500 gram vs 1.2 kg) and new design (also air cool, but new design is better)

so, unfortunately the OS is only one reason to buy Mac instead of iPad today)

kind regards

I doubt Apple would officially do that. They have prides in their iPadOS. Since the new iPad Pro will use M1 chip, it is technically possible for it to run MacOS. I believe people will port the Mac into iPad M1 in the hacking community. Unless you’re someone into hacks and mods, it would not be stable to be used as an important everyday machine. It would be fun though. Kinda like Hackintosh
