Dynamic face not working on Apple Watch

Hi,

I used to use the dynamic photos face on the Apple Watch which rotated between photo memories on my iPhone. I have switched iPhone and now the dynamic Watch face says there are ‘no memories’ when I choose it which is nonsense, there are plenty on my phone I have checked. All settings are the same as previous just seems to be struggling to sync / recognise any memories exist.

Anyone else had this and found a solution? I’ve restarted devices, changed the album I sync to my watch ... no joy.

If you’re not seeing photos, make sure the photos are in your synced album. Check out the steps listed here to see if they resolve the issue: Choose a photo album and manage storage on Apple Watch

Do you have a storage limit set as described in that article? Does restarting your watch and iPhone resolve the issue?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I have my recents album sync’d to the Apple Watch and that’s working. I now have a memory which shows on my ‘dynamic’ Apple Watch face, not sure what kick started that but seems to work now - it’s a small set of photos from a memory about twelve years ago so presume they sync separately for the purpose of this particular watch face, ‘photos - dynamic’.

How often should I expect the dynamic watch face to update itself? I feel like it used to rotate through one or two memories a day. I have a lot on my phone so no shortage there, just want to be sure it’s working as intended and I get a decent turnover of photos rather than just seeing one memory photo collection.
