External Hard disk not visible anywhere

The external hard disk was perfectly working on the Mac Air, but it is not visible anywhere on my MacBook Pro. Why? The light of the hard disk is on, so it means it is working, but it doesnt appear on the Mac

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

The why is not worth the effort to answer because no one really can answer. But try these two freebies: don't have that external drive connected when trying.
