I recently purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have several custom ringtones that I purchased and worked on my old iPhone. These ringtones show up on my new iPhone where some of them play and some don’t. Instead, they play just reflection.

I just purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro Max. Several of my ringtones do not work now. Instead of playing the song/ringtone, they play a “reflection” ringtone. They work fine on my iPad (which is older) and worked fine on my old iPhone (a 6s plus). The ringtones don’t show up in my iTunes as purchased either. Please help.

Hi NeedHelpNow93,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that some ringtones aren't working as expected after switching to a new iPhone, so we'd like to help. The first step is to make sure your iPhone is running the latest iOS version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. After updating check Settings > Sounds & Haptics under Ringtone to see if the correct ringtone plays.
