MY PHONE USED 6GB OF CELLULAR DATA IN 2 DAYS.....HOW!?

Hey, Just recently I realized that my cellular data usage sky rocketed by 6GB in 2 days and just recently I used 14GB in about 2 weeks. At first I was thinking maybe it was because I was leaving my apps on cellular so I made sure to keep it off when I have access to wifi.

What happens...

It goes up 6 more GB in 2 days!

Mind you in those 2 days I only used cellular for 2 apps and messages for about 30 minutes (collectively) when I wasn't near my house wifi but even then though I would occasionally be able to connect to wifi when I was away too which makes even less sense as to why my cellular is shooting through the atmosphere.

I just restarted my statistics so I can see how much cellular it uses when I dont touch it at all and have Icloud drive on to transfer data and documents over cellular but it shouldn't use any since i'll be around wifi all day.

Can ANYBODY help me out???

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that your iPhone is using an unexpected amount of cellular data, even when only using a couple apps. We have a few suggestions that might help get to the bottom of why this is happening.

First, we suggest taking a look at the Apple Support article below. It provides guidance on how to turn off cellular data, and allow you to determine which apps are still using data.

Check the cellular data usage on your iPhone and iPad

We also suggest turning off Background App Refresh and enabling Low Data Mode. These features restrict background network usage.

Use Low Data Mode on your iPhone and iPad

Switch apps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
