Networked printer-scanner and Big Sur

I cannot connect to the scanner function of the office printer. The printer is a Lexmark CX410e.

Last week I had no trouble connecting to the Lexmark using Image Capture. Last week my computer was an old Mac Mini running OS 10.15.

The hard drive died. I bought a new M1 Mac Mini furring OS 11.2.3. I have added the Lexmark in my Printers & Scanners preference. I can print normally to the Lexmark.

But Image Capture now does not see the Lexmark. Image Capture lists my personal scanner and another printer-scanner somewhere in the building. But Image Capture does not list the Lexmark as a "Shared" device, as it did last week in Catalina.

As I say, I can print to the Lexmark; I cannot scan from it.

Is there some setting somewhere that I am overlooking?

TIA

Found the firmware/Image capture drivers right on Lexmark's page for the printer.

As I recall, the Printer & Scanner preference has shown in the past both "printer" and "scanner" as choices above the name of the printer-scanner. For the Lexmark CX410e, it does not now. Now this preference shows the Lexmark as only a printer.

Somehow my Mac is not connecting to the scanner function of the printer. (And, if this is relevant, the Mac is not seeing an HP LaserJet P1102w that I have connected to the Mac by USB cable.)
