Weird black spot on my screen

Hi,so i was using my ipad normally.I plugged it and went to eat dinner,when i came back this happened(weird black spots on white background).Can someine explain to me what happened to my screen?Is this black forever?Is it dead pixel or what(usually dead pixel is in one spot right?).Is it LCD related and why did ut happen.Thanks

Your photograph illustrates a screen hardware fault known as “stage lighting” - where some of the backlight LEDs, that are placed around the periphery of the screen, have failed.


This fault can only be resolved by replacing the screen panel. Your iPad will require repair.
