Keyboard lights are dimmer on the left side

I noticed my MBP is having trouble with the keyboard light, because is brighter on the right side than the left side. I've tried rebooting the Mac and other things, but nothing works.

When I turn on the Mac, for 1/4 of a second the keyboard light turns on completely but then, the left side turns off.

In the image you can see what I'm talking about. Does anyone know a solution?

Hi jmir96,

Thanks for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that one side of your keyboard isn't lighting up, so we'd like to share some information with you. If your MacBook Pro has an Intel processor, follow these instructions to reset the System Management Controller: How to reset the SMC of your Mac.

Reply to this message if those steps don't help.

Take care.

jmir96,

Got it. To reset the SMC on a Mac with Apple silicon, choose the Apple menu > Shut Down. Close the lid for 30 seconds, then turn on the Mac. If the issue persists after resetting the SMC, the next step would be to get your MacBook Pro inspected. This can be done at an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider near you. Locate a store here: Find Locations. You can also reach out to Apple Support directly using this link: Get Support.

All the best!
