Using the encrypted iTunes backup to other iOS devices.

Good day! I have an encrypted backup from an iPhone running iOS 12. I wanted that particular backup to be restored on a different device entirely. Given that I still know the password, can it be done? Or does encrypting the backup on iTunes, make it only accessible to that particular iPhone from which the data of the encrypted backup came from?

You can use it as long as the backup is from an iOS version that is the same asge as or older than the iOS on the device to which you are restoring. The encryption simply scrambles the file on the computer and is not related to its use on a device.
