Spill coffee on my Macbook air, keyboard works on login only

Hello

I accidentally spilled coffee on my MacBook Air, the aftermath is they keyboard and trackpad only working on the login screen, but this functions stop working once I'm in.

An external mouse will work just fine. Also when I try to boot the computer on, it won't start right away.

The fact that the keyboard and trackpad works on the login screen makes me thing my MacBook is not totally screwed up and it can be fixed.

Anybody with any input on what I should do?

I live on a 3rd world country, so taking my MacBook Air to a certified Apple technician is not possible, I would have to ship it back to the U.S or something.
