Cycling option on map is not available

I am in Burnaby Bc Canada and try to use cycling option on my map app and it’s not available but seems that I am in area it should be supported, any idea why?!

Cycling parameters in Maps With the upcoming inclusion of cycling navigation in Apple Maps, I’m interested on how Maps assesses your abilities to maintain speeds on different inclines in order to optimise routes. Could the software contain the capability to log the rider’s performance over a distance / couple of trips and use this performance in future calculations. As one’s fitness changes the system could suggest a recalibration of the riders performance to reflect their current performance state.

Not all types of workouts show route on map I wonder why not all workouts show my route on the map. For example if i use outdoor cycle I get a nice view of where I cycled on a map. Same if I use outdoor walk or hiking. However, when I use downhill skiing or snow sports it does not record my route. I get a pin on the map as if I exercised on one spot. As a workaround I've been recording skiing as cycling to have a record of the routes. Definitely not ideal. Any ideas how to fix this?
