How do I avoid getting charged for apps I did not approve ?

Not sure what you are asking, since "did not order" and "did not approve" are two different things. If you received an unexpected charge on your bill, see here:

If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support


If you are receiving emails about purchases you did not make, determine if they are actually from Apple:

Identify legitimate emails from the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support
