Video not playing on Macbook

Suddenly video won't play on my macbook. MP4 files that have played before will open in Quicktime but won't play, I can click along the progress bar and the frame changes for that location. Within the TV app I click on a Home Video and the player opens up but immediately drops out. Trying to stream videos e.g. Youtube, the progress circle just spins and it never plays. I'm at a loss. I'd really appreciate some guidance for this problem. Below is an extract of the System log at the time I've tried playing a Home Video

Let's start from the beginning:

Major Issues:

Anything that appears on this list needs immediate attention.

Security updates disabled - Security updates are disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

Apple security disabled - Apple security software is disabled. This computer is at risk of malware infection.

You are putting yourself at risk by disabling the built-in system security

Minor Issues:

These issues do not need immediate attention but they may indicate future problems or opportunities for improvement.

More than one antivirus app - This computer has multiple antivirus apps installed.

No Time Machine backup - Time Machine backup not found.

And then you installing more than one third party "antivirus"... the correct number is zero.

I installed the NOW TV player recently, 2 or 3 days ago, but I can't remember if I've played other videos since. After experiencing the problem I uninstalled the NOW TV player but no change. I then saw there was a Big Sur upgrade so I installed it but still no change. The problem persists in Safe Mode. Below is an Etrcheck report

And I was right :-(

Antivirus software: F-Secure and CleanMyMac

Uninstall these two, according to their developers' instructions.

CleanMyMac is certified poison.

Even after uninstalling, we cannot be sure that things return to normal, as it may already have caused damage.

One other thing: your disk space is getting a little low: only about 50GB, that's 10% of your drive.

Performance starts to degrade when free space is low. It may not yet be noticeable, but keep that in mind.

It is usually recommended to have at least 15-20% free space, especially on a system drive.

The problem existed before I installed Clean My Mac (I only installed it today) after looking at a few solutions online and one led me to Clean my mac. and I wanted to try anything. I've been using F-secure for years without any problems. I suspect it was installing the NOW TV app which screwed things up.

I've uninstalled Clean my mac but the problem is still there obviously

The strange thing is, I can step through videos by clicking on the progress bar or the !0sec forwards icon but clicking on the play icon doesn't work. With Youtube the ads don't play straight away as they're intended to do and as a result I can't get to the video. Trying the VLC app the video starts (but no sound) and as soon as I pause it or try to move forward it freezes and won't start again.
