Does Apple Give Compensations?
I wanted to ask for some help about an issue I had in the Apple store here in Japan.
three days ago there was a campaign for providing discounts to students (college and high schoolers) on some apple products. The campaign ended on the 20th and I was planning to buy an iPad pro on the 20th. However, when I was tried to place an online order, the website told me it was "updating" and to come back at a later time. The website still said the campaign is still happening so I tried all day to get back to the website. I tried to get on the website until 12:00 am but the website was still updating and the campaign ended.
I contacted apple support to bring up this issue and asked if they can offer some sort of compensation but I was told they can not do anything. I also asked if there is anyone else that I can bring this issue to but I was told they are not allowed to give this information.
I appreciate their politeness but I just could not understand why they could not offer any further support or give me any other contact. If anyone has any suggestions and advice of what I can do that I would appreciate it very much.
