Can I make split screen like in Excel

Can Numbers do split screen to see the colum headers as you work down the spreadsheet?

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.12

You can designate up to five Header Rows and Header Columns and freeze those. (See the Table menu).


It's not exactly the same as Split or Freeze Panes in Excel but has a similar effect.


Because in Numbers one normally works with multiple smaller tables rather than one big expanse of cells one doesn't really need a Split functionality. Put work into separate tables instead.


If you haven't already done so, you might have a look at the templates at File > New in your menu to see how multiple tables are used in Numbers.
