Folder doesn't open on double click

I can't seem to open a folder by double clicking it. I'm using Macair 2020. Is there something in the setting I need to adjust?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Hello Von0507,

We see double clicking isn't opening folders on your MacBook Air. We'd be happy to help.

Do you experience this issue when opening folders in Finder or your desktop? Could you tell us what happens when you double click on a folder?

The following resource may help with opening your folders: Change how folders open in the Finder on Mac.

Additionally, you can adjust the you can adjust your mouse settings using these steps: Change mouse tracking, double-click, and scrolling speed on Mac.

We hope the resources help.
