How do I separate my iPad from my iPhone? My storage is full on my iPad so I just want to use it for streaming and social media.

How can I separate my iPad from my iPhone without losing photos on my iPhone? My storage is larger on my phone so any photos I take are filling my iPad storage. I only want to use iPad for streaming and social media.

Just turn off iCloud Photos on the iPad. That will remove all photos from the iPad and stop syncing new ones from the iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name].
  2. Tap iCloud.
  3. Tap Photos, then turn off iCloud Photos.

Say Yes when it asks if you want to delete all photos, or no if you want to keep some and manually delete others.
