6 plus iOS
My wife’s new hearing aid app requires iOS 14 or above. Her iPhone 6plus only goes to 12.5.2. Is there a workaround without getting a new phone? When will there be an update to the higher level?

No, no workaround. The hardware resources in the iPhone 6plus are not powerful enough to run iOS 13 or 14.
iOS 12.5.2 was just released for it a month ago, and its the most up to date version for that model.
