Battery percentage gone?
Is there seriously no way to show your battery percentage without swiping? Wish I had known I was getting less features before I spent so much $$ to upgrade😞 What a dumb thing to take away....

There isn’t room in the status bar for the battery percentage on phones with the Face ID notch without removing something else, and Apple has decided that the other items on the status bar are more important than battery percentage.
However, you can add the battery widget to the home screen.

Tell Apple. Agreeing with other users about something no one has any control over, is useless.
Provide feedback via this link, but since it's been this way since iPhone X, then iPhone Xs, then iPhone 11 and now iPhone 12, it's not likely something Apple has much intention of changing --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple
Did you have your iPhone battery replaced by a 3rd party repairer?
If you have a new iPhone with Face ID, you need to swipe down from top right to see the Control Centre and the battery percentage. There's no room available otherwise.
I find signal strength to be much more useful than a constant battery percentage. If you honestly need to know the exact percentage of battery (the battery icon really does give you a pretty good sense of the batteries current charge), simply swipe down from the top right hand corner of your iPhone screen and the battery percentage is easily found.
Otherwise, it's been this way for the last few years since iPhone X was released with Face ID. You'll get used to it. Things change. That's life, to be honest.
Yes, the Cell Radio signal and Wi-Fi are more important than battery percentage.
FYI: If you are running low on battery, iOS will notify you and you can set Low Power Mode to last longer with one charge.

No I just upgraded to the iPhone 12 or something. I see that instead of battery percentage I now get to see WiFi/signal strength & wish they weren’t highjacking the space for my battery percentage. Do ppl (other than developers/techs) actually want to see their WiFi/signal strength at a glance?
I agree! Why not have the percentage over the bar? Why take away the percentage altogether?! They could just have a battery icon with the percentage inside instead of a bar-graph style icon. Sooo annoying!
