My Apple Watch and iphone are connected but my phone will not ping. How can I fix this?

Why won’t my iPhone ping when I try to find it using my Apple Watch?

iPhone 11 Pro Max, iOS 14

Make sure the silent switch is not turned on (on your iPhone) and the ringer volume is not at 0. Also if the iPhone is on Do Not Disturb it will not work.
