IPhone ringtone through AirPods

Hello, I am considering upgrading from my Beat Flex to the gen 2 AirPods. Because I want a more portable form factor, but I have one question that I seem that I can’t find online. So if someone is calling me from my phone while I’m listening with AirPods, will the ringtone blast my ears out? Because that happened all the time with my Flex’s and I really don’t want that happening on the AirPods. Thank you to whoever is reading this! 🙂
