On macOS (Mojave) - How do you move checklist items to the bottom automatically in Notes?

I read plenty of already answered questions with regards to automatically moving checklist items to the bottom of the list. It works perfectly on iOS but I have no option to do so on macOS. Supposedly the option is in settings:

In practice nothing like this is on my settings (macOS Mojave, Notes version 4.6 (879.30)):

When I check the list item on iPhone then it shows at the bottom of the list on Mac (note on iCloud) but when I work on the note on Mac and check the list item it does not get moved to the bottom of the list.

Am I missing something or it is a bug?
