bluetooth automatic reconnect on wake

I have some AudioEngine 2+ desk speakers for my M1 Mini (great sounding small speakers btw)

I connect them with Bluetooth to avoid having more wiring. I only use the speakers with the Mac, I won't pair them with some other device.

I don't need them to disconnect when the Mac sleeps, but they do. Then they don't automatically reconnect when the Mac wakes so then I have to wait and do 2 extra clicks every time I use the Mac. I got bored of doing this after a couple months.

Is there a way to either:

• set it to not disconnect from the speakers when sleeping, or
• set it to automatically reconnect to the speakers when waking?
