Lost Outlook Contact Folder on Macbook

I lost a contact folder in Outlook for Mac and have a time machine back up for my Macbook pro. Can I restore the Outlook backup from time machine to my Mac Desktop, export the folder I deleted and import it back into my outlook on my laptop? The outlook version on the laptop is not on the cloud.

Hello BartCleary,

It sounds as though a Contact Folder from Outlook was deleted, and you're seeking to recover that folder. You've come to a great place for help.

If the folder was stored to the Mac you may be able to recover from Time Machine. You can find the steps for restoring information from a Time Machine backup in the following article.

Restore your Mac from a backup

If the folder was stored to Outlook directly, and in a cloud service provided by Microsoft you may want to reach out to them for the best support. You can find their contact details in the following article.

We completely understand the hesitancy BartCleary,

With having already tried restoring to a Time Machine backup, and not able to retrieve the folder the next step would be to reach out to Microsoft using the link in the previous message.
