Information About The 10.2 Inch iPad

I'm a university student and I want to buy a 10.2 Inch iPad for myself. With an Apple Pencil of course.

I don't know the exact differences between the 10.2 Inch iPad and iPad Air.

I'll use the iPad for taking notes and storing some pdfs. Can I use the 10.2 Inch iPad to split-screen/multitask?

And there's one thing more that I didn't understand. Apple Pencil Tips... What are they? Is Apple Pencil something that can be run out of?

And which Apple Pencil is compatible with the 10.2 iPad.

Thank you for your answers!

You can make the comparison here for yourself.

All of these iPads support multitasking/split screen in iPadOS 14. Apple Pencil compatibility is listed under the specific models. The tip on the Apple Pencil can wear out and need to be replaced. It screws on and off. I have the first generation Apple Pencil and it came with a spare tip and adaptor for charging by plugging into a wall socket. The Apple Pencil 2nd generation can only be charged while attached to the iPad.
