My iPhone running iOS 14 is not showing up on Windows 8.1 or iTunes

After I updated to iOS 14, my iPhone no longer shows up on Windows 8.1 and I don't get a prompt on the iPhone to allow the computer when plugged in. The iPhone doesn't show up in iTunes 12.10.10.2 either. I tried to install the latest version of iTunes but it required Windows 10. Before, I was able to use the iPhone with my computer and it would show up in both iTunes and as a device in This PC.

I solved the problem. Here's what I did in case you experience this too:

Open Device Manager

Uninstall the driver called libusb-win32 iPhone

Disconnect and reconnect the iPhone

It will now be detected and you can select Trust This Computer

This also works in Windows 10 as described in IPhone is not visible on Win 10 - Microsoft Community
