i updated my iPhone 12 Pro to iOS 14.5 today and my CarPlay isn’t working anymore. Anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

I got it working today, not quite sure what happened but I looked it up on the forums for my car and it said to cycle the radio system by clicking the volume button to mute the radio and then clicking it again and holding it for 10 seconds. Then letting go and if see the car logo and the whole system would reboot and then after that it worked fine. It’s a 2017 Porsche Macan. Not sure if that will be the same for yours. Hope you get it figured out!
Thank you!! This worked but.... when I reset the phone, it gave me the "connect to your computer" message. Had a minor panic attack. That said, once I did this, I went back out to the car, turned it back on, connected the phone and voila!! All fixed!!
Same issue for me. Ford sync 4 and CarPlay are not working. I deleted the profile in Ford synch and reinstalled, but no luck getting CarPlay working.
It’s not up to the manufacturers to make sure iOS updates are compatible, that falls on apple to make sure their software is backwards compatible.

Same problem here. Wireless Apple CarPlay in my BMW extremely slow since update to iOS 14.5.1 and getting cut off all the time.

I’m having the exact issue. Updated my phone and now it doesn’t want to work with my sentra.
Yes but CarPlay was working without a problem in my vehicle before the update. Now it is nothing but trouble. (Intermittent connection, blank screen, etc.) Something in the spec changed.
This WORKED. Thank you very much. I left Siri Voice to the changed voice and I did not re-select the default voice.
