Notification came saying it’s hacked

I don’t usually believe these things but I clicked on a dodgy link by accident and a pop

up came up saying iPhone hacked! Just like a notification would come up on Apple, and then came up with a new notification telling me to press a button to protect my connection and install an app . I installed the app and then immediately switched off my phone and removed the SIM card

what should I do now? Should I switch on my phone again and was it really hacked?

Hello ansh13,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're wondering if your iPhone was compromised due to clicking on a link and installing an app. We are happy to share information that may help.

First, if you installed an app through the pop-up message, you'll want to delete the app: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Next, if you believe your Apple ID may have been compromised, you'll want to change the password for your Apple ID and follow the steps here: If you think your Apple ID has been compromised.

Take care.
