Face ID unlock is not working after update of iOS 14.5

Before updating to the latest iOS 14.5 as told in your post what was your earlier iOS version. Then you can look into the iOS changes that have happened between the earlier version on your iPhone and this new version that you have updated now. 

This will give you a broader idea of the issue if it is directly linked to the iOS version or is triggered by something else.

As I had mentioned previously, my Face ID unlock stopped working after updating to 14.5.1. Previously it was 14.5. I have tried everything, re-setting Face ID multiple times. Funny thing is that when accessing LinkedIn or some of my banking apps, my Face ID works. How can this be?

Thank you! I thought I was the only one. Apple support thinks it’s a hardware issue. I think it may be a software issue because I had this problem immediately after updating to IOS 14.5.
