90 seconds of hotspot is not enough

How can I extend the time that my iPhone hotspot stays on (IOS 14 something)? It is not enough time to enter the hotspot password on Apple TV, and now it seems the TV thinks the password is some truncated version of the actual password. Also it keeps dropping out when my wife is using her iPad. If I could just extend that time to 5 minutes I think that would solve both issues, or if it always stayed while powered externally that would also work. Who designed this anyway? Based on community questions, this has been an issue for a long time with no fix - they just keep hiding the same cheese in a different spot in seton.

Welcome NoPersonalInformationHere,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, when attempting to use your Personal Hotspot, it times out and wasn't accepted on your Apple TV. We'll do our best to assist with this.

If you are allowing it to create it's own password, then we'd recommend that you create your own to avoid any issues typing in an entirely new one: How to set up a Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad Under section, 'Set or change your Wi-Fi password'.

Remove the network on your Apple TV in Settings > Network, select your network and 'Forget this Network'. Once disconnected, you can join your Hotspot once more using that newly (user) created password.

If this isn't what you were trying to explain, please reply back with more information about what's happening. As the Hotspot feature and ability comes from the wireless carrier.

Wishing you the best, take care!
