I can't delete quick time player on my macbookpro

I have tried everything and cannot delete quick time player from my macbookpro




MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2

You cannot delete Quick Time Player as it resides on the read-only filesystem in Catalina and Big Sur. Same drill for other Apple applications that were installed by the operating system. Just ignore them if you don't need them.

You can not delete baked in apps that ship with the macOS.


Try an alternative software...

You can Control (right) click a file type before opening for a contextual menu>Open With >and set it as the default player
