Word 16.48 with MS 365 subscription not saving in Big Sur 11.2.3

Unable to save Word documents to desktop or other dirves with a MacBook? Are you KIDDING ME? Sorry Apple, this is just UNACCEPTABLE. I have been an Apple user with MS Word for two decades. 365 subscription for at least 5. I will NOT accept the geeky, ridiculous fixes in this thread. MS Office is a major partner and this is how many of us work every day. Please let us know when there will be a patch/fix for this horrible oversight in Big Sur.
