Cable Charger for iPhone and Airpods

How if i use airpods charging cable to charge my iphone? Will it damage the iphone? I asked this question because I read in apple.com that charging airpods using iphone charger cable will be much faster.

I think my iPhone 11 battery health reduced significantly due to this matter, but idk. Pls any advice.
