Audiobook on iPod Classic

Recently I tried to put an mp3 fille as an audiobook on my iPod classic but it recognizes it as music instead of an audiobook. I was able to get iTunes to recognize it as an audiobook, and even the iPod recognized it as an audiobook. But when I ejected the iPod, it decided it was music and went into the songs folder. Is there any way to fix this?
