Today I updated my iphone xs and watch series 4 and I tried the new feature unlocking iphone with mask. I tested with someone else but me to wear mask and unlock my phone and it seems that works. If person wears mask can unlock it and if not wearing mask the phone can’t unlock.

Apparently yes that happens but you can reject thr unlock if it wasn’t you. You need to have your Watch on and accept or lock it with the watch
A masked other person cannot unlock it by themselves.

Well I don’t think that I have option to check Ok, the notification on watch is with option to lock my phone. The process is not to confirm unlock, I have option to lock back my phone after it is already unlocked.

When I enabled that option to unlock with watch and tested with another person near me wearing mask can unlock the iphone as well. Is this the way this feature works?
