Is it safe to buy a MacBook Air from some one who has his name scribbled out from the receipt?

Hi some one is selling a brand new sealed MacBook Air with the receipt with there name scribbled out

would this be a scam or is it still be under warranty if we brought it

they are selling it for 800 and they brought in March

I wouldn't recommend buying it unless it's in person or someone you trust.


if they are willing to give you the serial number, you can check warranty detail and everything. otherwise, no one on here could give you advice on this.


I and many others would recommend getting it refurbished from Apple or another reliable apple reseller.
