I have a gift card from a previous trade-in. My question is this- can I apply a trade-in and the gift card to the purchase of a new computer applying the balance to my Apple credit card?
From my reading of it yes. The trade in card and AppleStore gift card are essentially the same thing and you can use up to 8 of them. The people responding here are users like you, not Apple sales staff.
You can use the gift cards to start the payment and the credit card to make up the difference.
