Error message: Server Busy. Please try again later. (took 5 ms)"

I am in the middle of responding to an email that come into my (@me.com) email account and without any prompting or attempt to do anything other than type, the message...


Mail was unable to open this mailbox on the server “p65-imap.mail.me.com”.

The server returned the error: Server Busy. Please try again later. (took 5 ms)


...keeps popping up.


My only option is to click OK, which allows me to type for a moment, and then pops up again. the only variable is the parenthetical at the end (took 9 ms) where the amount changes every time.


This is the first time I have ever encountered this issue.


PLEASE ADVISE!!

We understand from your post that you are receiving a message saying the server is busy and cannot move mail between iCloud mailboxes. First check to see if there have been any iCloud server issues using this page: Apple - Support - System Status


If there have been issues, they will resolve on their own once the server is back online. If there are no issues reported and you are still receiving the error, you may need to check your email server settings to make sure they are correct as described in this article:
