input keyboard does not show on menu bar

I have the MacBook Air 2020, A1.

I have selected a zillion times "show input menu in menu bar", but it does not appear there, how can I fix it? I really need it there...

  1. You posted in the iMac community, not MacBook Air. There is no NVRAM for M1.
  2. Please try Safe Mode. It helps to troubleshoot.
  3. For testing, make a new (temporary) Admin account that can be deleted later.

Thank you for answering, Jack

  1. This is only for intel processors, and I have Apple silicon processor
  2. The safe mode seems unnecessary for me because it is a brand new Mac, I got it yesterday, so there isn't new software that could be causing problems, do you think differently?
  3. I have the administrator account

Do you have more suggestions?
