iPad Pro doesn't show MacOS backup drives

IPadOS 14.5 Files app shows USB flash drives, Seagate portable externals. But none of my MacOS backups will show in Files app.

My MacBook Pro is in for repair, and I need to get to some files from my MacOS backup. One of my backups is not encrypted, and even that won’t show.

Two Seagate externals drives are the same - the one that has backups doesn’t show in Files.

Is there a way to access my MacOS backup from my iPad Pro 11”? Or do I have to do a file copy to an external drive before my MacBook Pro goes in for repair?

Presumably you’re referring to a Time Machine backup. That can only be accessed from a Mac, with a MacOS version greater than or equal to the version that created it.
