transfer speed

I am restoring my time machine to my MBP using my Wi-Fi network. The transfer speed has been a max of 3 mbps. Why? How can I increase the transfer speed?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.3

Use direct connection and not WiFi for now.

You do not use an ethernet port. Use USB or use an adapter.
