FaceTime filters missing on iPad 6th generation after iPad OS 14.5 update

After updating to 14.5, FaceTime filters like comic book and camcorder are missing but noir and camera tints are not. Even after restarting the filters are still missing. The official apple website says that camera effects are supported by “iPad (6th generation and later)”. Is there a way to get the filters back without factory resetting or using iTunes? And was this caused by the update? As other iPads (6th generations) that I know, that haven’t updated, still have the feature.

Hello B6van,

We understand that a few of your FaceTime camera effects are missing. This is definitely not that type of experience that we’d like for you to have after completing the software update. It's our goal to sort this out with you. Let’s try this:

Close an app on your iPad

• Delete the FaceTime app as shown here: Delete built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS 14 or iPadOS device or Apple Watch

• Redownload it and check to see if the issue is resolved. When you complete this step, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Redownload apps and games from Apple

Thank you for all the help! But my iPad still doesn’t have the filters even after redownloading the app and restarting. I just had another iPad of the same type (6th generation) update as well and the filters are missing. Could this be a problem with the update, and will it potentially be fixed in an upcomming update?
